The institute was established and registered under the Companies and Allied Matters Act, 2004 as an independent, non – governmental, non – for – profit professional organization to provide a forum for security and safety practitioners in both the private and public sectors to exchange ideas and share experience in the art and science of security.
The Mission of the Institute is to undertake top-quality teaching, education, practice and training in the areas of security and risk management, protection science and safety and to disseminate knowledge to different communities and professional skill within the discipline.
